East County Cocker Spaniels offers AKC registered pure bred American Cocker Spaniel puppies for sale, quality Cocker Spaniels and resources for responsible dog owners. We specialize in match making for families and puppies so the right puppy finds the right family!  Our puppies have a complete health examination by a licensed veternarian before you take them home so you can be assured of a healthy addition to your family.  Some of our puppies have grown up to become service dogs, therapy dogs, and companion dogs we even have a few that have become drug and bomb sniffing dogs.  They are also terrific family pets as well. Our bloodlines are gentle, calm and loving with excellent temperments which they get from their parents and grandparents.

The AKC® (American Kennel Club) has set the standards for more than 150 different breed of dogs and promotes responsible breeding of purebred dogs.  The American Cocker Spaniel is one of the the smaller breeds in the Sporting Dog Class.  

History of the Cocker Spaniel:  

The first mention of "Spanyell" as the spaniel breed has been traced back as far as 1368.  This group was divided into two groups, the 'land' spaniel and the 'water' spaniel.  A further division occurred when the land spaniels were separated by size.  The smaller size becoming the "Cocker Spaniel" and the small or toy spaniels were differentiated from the larger spaniels.  Later still, as the cockers and toys were used for different purposes, they were once again divided with the toys and smaller dogs becoming the English Toy Spaniels and the Cocker Spaniel as we know it today was classified as a sporting dog.  Thus, this is why the Cocker is now considered the smallest member of the sporting-dog family.

They are loving pets for the home as well as very active and responsive field dogs.  Our site is dedicated to the American Cockers Spaniels in Northern California.  The wonderful and loving dogs shown here on our website are all AKC  registered and have been DNA Certified through the American Kennel Club DNA Profile system to ensure legal registry.  Additionally, our breeding pair are also UKC registered to the United Kennel Club.  The puppies will have both AKC and UKC registry documentation provided at purchase and are also micro-chipped. The parent dogs are both very lovable, highly intelligent, active, athletic, quick to learn and fun loving with gentle, mellow personalities plus.  Angel, our breeding bitch, holds UKC and International Championship Titles.

At this time, there are no puppies available for adoption. 

Our next litter will be born in mid-April with the puppies ready to go to their forever home around he last week of June 2023.  We will be opening reservations for this litter toward the end of March.  If you are interested in purchasing a puppy from our next litter, please contact us late March 2023 to reserve your puppy.  Purchase price is $2,800.00.  A 50% deposit is required to hold a puppy.  Balance is due when you take your puppy home.  East County American Cocker Spaniels reserves the right to refuse purchase of a puppy.
